SH&E’s Airport Consulting Practice has been retained by Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) to conduct both air service marketing and economic impact analysis for the regulatory environment. Among the consulting assignments performed, SH&E consultants have developed a domestic and international strategic air service marketing plan for DFW, including specific air carrier route forecasting and analysis, provided analysis and support for DFW’s Wright Amendment position, and developed the economic case for American Airlines’ proposed Dallas/Ft. Worth – Beijing non-stop service.
Hawaiian Airlines Restructuring
The airline’s court-appointed bankruptcy trustee engaged Simat,
Helliesen & Eichner (SH&E) to lead one of the most successful
restructuring efforts in North American aviation history, leading to 100
percent recovery for creditors and restored value to equity-holders.
EC Ground Handling of 33 European
Airports
In October 2001, SH&E undertook a major review of the state of implementation
of the Ground Handling Directive 96/97EC through the EU.
Recent Asset Management Assignment
SH&E’s Asset Management team recently provided specialist assistance
to a leading investment bank in the preparation of a $750 million securitization
financing.
Gulf Air Project
SH&E was privileged to work with Gulf Air to assist them in assessing
what changes were needed to be made to the airline to return it to profitability
and to the reputation that it had during the late 1980,s and early 1990,s.
Mexican Airport Privatization
SH&E was charged with developing the theory behind economic regulation
and developing pricing strategies to prepare the airport system for privatization.
Logan Airside Improvements Planning
Project
SH&E is the lead consulting firm overseeing the Boston Logan Airside
Improvements Planning Project (AIP) for the Massachusetts Port Authority
(Massport) in conjunction with the FAA.
