David Hinderland, SH&E Prinicpal
Area of Specialization
Mr. Hinderland’s focus at SH&E is on strategic cargo market planning development for airports, passenger cargo airlines, all-cargo airlines, air freight forwarding, and supply chain logistics customers. He has director and management experience in a large corporate airline environment, having spent 19 years with Dallas-based Southwest Airlines. In addition, he also has major airport marketing experience in Phoenix and Las Vegas promoting inaugural passenger terminal launches, and cargo facility build-to-suit expansions. Mr. Hinderland expertise includes airline operations, air cargo operations, air cargo facility planning, marketing, sales promotions, business development, strategic planning, air cargo alliance development, air cargo booking/commodity management systems, and capacity management systems.

Background
Mr. Hinderland has more than 19 years of airline passenger and air cargo logistics experience with Southwest Airlines. He held various management positions during his career at Southwest Airlines which included Area Marketing Manager (passenger sales), Regional Manager, Cargo, National Account Manager, Senior Manager, Cargo, and Director of Cargo Marketing and Business Development. He was domiciled in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas, executing his previous work assignments for Southwest Airlines. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines, Mr. Hinderland worked in the wholesale beverage logistic industry for seven years.
